Manchester United are reportedly set to appoint Eva Olid as their new women's manager. The 40-year-old Spaniard is expected to meet the squad on Wednesday as the club finalizes her appointment following Marc Skinner's departure.

Olid recently left Hearts this summer, having achieved significant success with the Scottish Women's Premier League club. She guided Hearts to their first league title last campaign after joining in 2021. Despite signing an extension until 2026, she departed by mutual agreement at the end of the season.

During her tenure, Olid also led Hearts to their first domestic final and secured their inaugural silverware by winning the league title, finishing two points ahead of Rangers. The club had previously finished fourth in consecutive seasons under her guidance before a fifth-place finish in 2024-25.
