Celtic snatched the Scottish Premiership title from Hearts on the final whistle with a dramatic late comeback. Daizen Maeda scored the winner three minutes from the end, his seventh goal in five league games, before Callum Osmand added a second seconds before full-time. Arne Engels had equalized from the penalty spot earlier, and Hearts held a 1-0 lead until the 75th minute courtesy of Lawrence Shankland.

Hearts looked set to lift the trophy with nine minutes remaining, but Martin O'Neill kept his side alive through eight months of chasing. Maeda and Iheanacho drove the comeback, while Hearts suffered a wave of injuries. Celtic had produced almost nothing in the first hour, registering zero shots on target after 30 minutes, yet clawed back a 90-minute deficit in a frantic closing stretch.

The victory ended in chaos when Celtic fans invaded the pitch before the final whistle, prompting an SPFL investigation. Hearts left in fury, their bus wheels spinning as fast as they could. O'Neill delivered the title on the brink of collapse. Hearts will rebuild under Derek McInnes, but Celtic lift the trophy — just barely.
