Celtic FC maintains a strong interest in securing the services of Hibernian midfielder Miguel Chaiwa, though their pursuit of the 21-year-old faces increased international scrutiny. The Glasgow giants are now competing against several European clubs vying for the midfielder’s transfer in the upcoming window.

Reports indicate that Italian Serie A side Genoa, French club Toulouse, and Belgian champions Club Brugge have all registered interest in acquiring Chaiwa. This heightened competition suggests a potential bidding war for the young talent, complicating Celtic’s efforts to bring him to Parkhead.

Separately, the ongoing transfer speculation involving other Scottish Premiership figures continues. While Celtic is interested in Chaiwa, news also emerged that Jose Cifuentes will return to Rangers after Toronto FC declined the option to make his loan permanent. Additionally, former Scotland striker Paul Dickov suggested that current Everton defender Nathan Patterson might benefit from a summer move back to Rangers.

Meanwhile, another defender linked with Celtic, Scott McKenna, featured for his club Dinamo Zagreb in their Croatian Cup final win over Rijeka on Wednesday, shaking off a recent injury scare to play.
