Bruno Fernandes Staying at Man Utd

Bruno Fernandes will not seek a departure from Manchester United this month. Reports suggested the captain was weighing his future after Ruben Amorim's dismissal, especially after meeting with Amorim's coach Carlos Fernandes. However, sources confirm the 31-year-old remains committed to Old Trafford despite the ongoing managerial upheaval and interim appointments.

Fernandes plans to reassess his situation in the summer, when he has one year remaining on his contract. He previously turned down a massive offer from Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal. If he eventually leaves United, he prefers to stay in Europe rather than move to the Saudi Pro League.

The midfielder admitted he was hurt to learn United were willing to sell him previously. He felt senior officials lacked the courage to be direct, especially since Amorim wanted him to stay. With Michael Carrick now caretaker, Fernandes will lead the squad through the rest of the season.
