Italian club Bologna is reportedly still interested in Rangers midfielder Connor Barron, whom they pursued before his move to Ibrox. This interest could resurface as part of a potential swap deal involving Lewis Ferguson.
Elsewhere, Rangers might consider selling midfielder Thelo Aasgaard if a substantial offer arrives, with Atalanta among the clubs showing interest. Independiente is also looking at left-back Marcelo Saracchi after Boca Juniors denied Celtic a second loan spell. Goalkeeper Tjark Ernst, despite reported interest from Celtic and Feyenoord triggering his £4.3m release clause, is expected to play for Hertha Berlin. Finally, Sandefjord is set to sell Zinedin Smajlovic to Olympiacos for a club-record £5.1m, rejecting a £3.5m bid from Celtic.
