Bologna have entered preliminary talks with Rangers about a possible transfer for 25‑year‑old midfielder Nico Raskin. The Belgian, who joined the Scottish club last summer, has attracted interest from clubs in Italy and England. Rangers’ new boss Derek McInnes is reportedly keen to see Scotland midfielder Lewis Ferguson head the other way in any deal.

Hull City have tabled an offer of roughly £12‑14 million for Raskin, but Ibrox value the player closer to £20 million, according to Mike White on X. Meanwhile Rangers have agreed a £1.5 million fee to bring defender Ross McCrorie back from Bristol City on a three‑year contract with an optional fourth year.

Rangers’ transfer window also sees them miss out on Westerlo right‑back Bryan Reynolds, with Rennes offering about £3.3 million. Celtic are in talks to re‑sign Marcelo Saracchi, but the Argentine left‑back insists on a permanent deal matching Boca Juniors’ £1.3 million price. With several departures and arrivals, the Scottish clubs’ squads could look markedly different for the remainder of the season.

The flurry of activity highlights the financial balancing act facing both sides of the border. Rangers must fund incoming talent while recouping value on assets like Raskin, whereas Italian clubs such as Bologna seek proven midfielders to boost European ambitions. As negotiations progress, the final deals will shape squad depth ahead of domestic and continental campaigns.
