Blackpool Football Club is mourning the loss of a supporter who died following a medical emergency at Bloomfield Road during Saturday's League One match against Peterborough United. The game was halted for 30 minutes in the second half after the fan was taken ill in the stands. Emergency medical staff were immediately on scene attempting to provide assistance.

Despite their best efforts, the club announced on Sunday that the supporter, named as Graham Sharman, had passed away. The League One fixture between the Tangerines and Peterborough United was paused while medics attended to the fan in the stands before play eventually resumed.

The club released a statement saying: "Blackpool Football Club is deeply saddened to report the news of the passing of supporter Graham Sharman." The statement added that the club had been in contact with his family and would remain in close communication to offer any support needed. The thoughts and condolences of everyone at the club go out to Graham's family and all those connected to him at this difficult time.
