Bay FC forward Keira Barry has received her first call-up to the England women's national team for the upcoming Women's World Cup qualifiers against Spain and Iceland. The 20-year-old, who moved from Manchester United to the United States in January, has been promoted from the England Under-23s squad.

Barry replaces Freya Godfrey of London City Lionesses, who withdrew due to a shoulder injury and will remain with her club for treatment. The squad expansion from 23 to 24 players also sees the return of Chelsea defender Niamh Charles following her recovery from a dislocated shoulder. Charles has featured in Chelsea's past three games and was part of the England squad that retained their European title in Switzerland last year.

The 24-player squad will convene at St George's Park on Tuesday before facing Spain on April 14 at Wembley Stadium, with kickoff at 19:00 GMT. England will then travel to Reykjavik to take on Iceland on April 18 at 17:30 GMT, aiming to maintain their winning start to their 2027 World Cup qualifying campaign.
