Real Madrid boss Alvaro Arbeloa has appealed for fan backing and says he's "focused on finding solutions" after a shock Copa del Rey defeat by Albacete. It was his first game in charge, following Xabi Alonso's sudden departure. Captain Dani Carvajal admitted the team had hit "rock bottom."

Arbeloa, who replaced Alonso on Monday, insisted he wouldn't change his approach. He takes full responsibility, stating there will be "only one person responsible" for the team's shortcomings. The loss to the second-division side came as Real tries to close a four-point gap on league leaders Barcelona.

Looking ahead, Arbeloa wants a team that plays with passion from the first minute. He highlighted Jude Bellingham's role, calling the 22-year-old a future leader with the ability to create. The coach believes fan support is crucial, noting great titles have been won when the Bernabeu is with its players.
