A consortium led by Amanda Staveley, former co-owner of Newcastle United, is in discussions to acquire a 25% stake in Championship club West Ham.

This development follows the departure of joint chairman David Sullivan in June, subsequent to a joint investigation by BBC Panorama and The Times. The investigation detailed allegations from multiple women accusing Sullivan of abusing his power and preying on them for sex, some as teenagers. These allegations span decades, originating from women who were young models seeking work at Sullivan's newspapers.

Sullivan, who denies the claims, is facing scrutiny from the Independent Football Regulator (IFR) regarding his suitability for his role. The IFR is seeking urgent information about the "extremely serious allegations" against him.
