### Apple Releases Third iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5 Betas to Developers

Apple today seeded the third beta versions of iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5 to developers, following the second beta releases a week prior. Registered developers can access the updates via the Settings app’s General section under Software Update. These builds do not include new Siri capabilities, suggesting enhancements for the AI assistant may be reserved for iOS 27. The Maps app introduces a Suggested Places feature, leveraging trends and recent searches to recommend nearby locations, while Apple is reportedly preparing to integrate ads into the Apple Maps ecosystem.

The updates also reflect ongoing testing of end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for RCS messages between iPhones and Android devices.
