Stanley Cup Race Impacted

The Edmonton Oilers face major adversity as star center Leon Draisaitl, who has amassed 97 points across 65 games this season, is now expected to miss the remainder of the regular schedule following a lower-body injury sustained Sunday. This setback immediately complicates the playoff seeding picture, particularly as the San Jose Sharks remain mathematically viable for both a wild card berth and a Pacific Division finish, even as they occupy a lower standing. Meanwhile, Jack Hughes demanded the return of his gold-medal-winning overtime puck from the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, showing the high value placed on international achievements even amid domestic playoff battles.
