Jalen Brunson poured 38 points, 17 of them in the final eight minutes, propelling the New York Knicks to a 115‑104 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.

Brunson’s 38‑point outburst, coupled with Mikal Bridges’ 18 and Karl‑Anthony Towns’ double‑double, turned a 20‑point deficit into a victory. Donovan Mitchell led Cleveland with 29, but only three arrived in the fourth quarter.

The win gives the Knicks a 1‑0 series lead and keeps the Thunder and Spurs in contention for the NBA Finals. The outcome sets the tone for a series that could see the Knicks face either Oklahoma City or San Antonio.
