Red Bull faced significant challenges at Silverstone, stemming from a combination of chassis and power unit issues. While the team leads in internal combustion engine (ICE) rankings, it appears to be lagging in electrical performance, a weakness exposed on energy-sensitive circuits like Silverstone.

Max Verstappen himself noted that even a podium finish would have been undeserved, citing balance and power unit deficiencies that contributed to his struggles. The high-speed nature of Silverstone, a track characteristic Red Bull has found difficult, exacerbated these problems.

Looking ahead, the team anticipates similar difficulties at Spa-Francorchamps, another track demanding extreme energy management. Team principal Laurent Mekies acknowledged the compounding effect of track characteristics on their limitations. Red Bull is focused on optimizing power unit deployment, but hardware limitations, particularly concerning the electrical side, may prevent immediate solutions, potentially impacting their performance at Spa and Monza.
