Adding complexity to Mercedes' plans are potential engine penalties for drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. Both are approaching the limit for engine usage, with a fifth new engine incurring a 10-place grid drop. The team is working on a strategy to mitigate these penalties, recognizing the difficulty of completing the season without further engine changes.
