British motorsport veteran Marc Hynes has been appointed chief racing officer for Cadillac's Formula 1 team. A former racing driver, Hynes secured the 1999 British F3 title with Manor Racing, finishing ahead of Luciano Burti and future F1 world champion Jenson Button.

His career spans multiple roles with Manor (formerly Virgin and Marussia), including stints in F1 and the FIA World Endurance Championship, where he collaborated with team principal Graeme Lowdon. This appointment marks a strategic move for Cadillac, leveraging Hynes' extensive F1 experience to strengthen its racing operations.
