Lewis Hamilton believes his first win for Ferrari is imminent after a dramatic turnaround in form. The seven-time world champion sits second in the championship after six rounds, holding a 15-point advantage over teammate Charles Leclerc while dominating their qualifying head-to-head 5-4.

Hamilton endured a torrid 2025 debut season with Ferrari, suffering his first podium-less campaign. The 2026 regulation changes to nimbler cars finally allowed him to develop a car to his liking and make personnel changes. His consecutive runner-up finishes show the improvements are paying off after a year he described as "really tough."

Hamilton credited team boss Fred Vasseur for implementing changes he "begged" for. "He did those and now I'm seeing the fruits of that," Hamilton stated.
