MLB Roster Moves & Front Office News
The Seattle Mariners adjusted their pitching staff Friday, officially placing right-handed reliever Carlos Vargas on the 15-day injured list due to a right lat strain, necessitating the immediate recall of right-hander Cole Wilcox from Triple-A Tacoma to bolster the bullpen depth. Concurrently, the Los Angeles Dodgers secured future organizational involvement from their ace, bringing 2011 Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw back into the fold in a capacity as a special assistant to the club's front office.
