These tools were developed with educators and learning science research, emphasizing active retrieval and self-explanation over passive review.

Safety features include age-appropriate model protections targeting self-harm, violence, eating disorders, and explicit content. Parents can set Quiet Hours, manage settings, and receive limited safety notifications. The platform also discourages emotional dependence through restrictions on romantic language and cues that clearly identify ChatGPT as AI.
