Lord Naseby, a former Conservative MP, warned that the Tobacco and Vapes Bill would upset many in the industry, especially retailers. He called for better education to prevent uptake. Lady Merron responded that the government has already worked closely with retailers and will continue to do so, emphasizing partnership over confrontation in the legislative cycle.
