During their tenure, they reformed committer delegation, onboarded 19 new committers, secured enterprise cloud upgrades, and helped triage security risks. However, the role proved unsustainable due to lack of engagement from the Steering Committee (SC), which exhibited micromanagement and poor communication.

The team's high-trust consensus model successfully resolved contentious issues like AI policy, demonstrating the value of delegated local governance. They cite systemic problems with the SC's inability to function effectively as either a representative backstop or proactive decision-making body.

With only one applicant responding to recruitment calls, the team believes sustainable governance requires genuine delegation to technically-focused, collaborative leaders rather than majority voting at the top level. They plan to reduce Nixpkgs involvement and will not run for SC positions.
