NASA has launched NASA Force, a new hiring initiative in partnership with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to recruit exceptional technical talent for mission-critical roles. The program targets early- to mid-career engineers, technologists, and innovators for focused term appointments, typically 1–2 years with possible extensions, to solve complex challenges in space exploration and technology.

Participants will contribute to VIPER lunar rover operations, deep space logistics, and the development of NASA Spaceport 2.0. The initiative also includes work on Orion real-time operating systems, curation of lunar and astromaterials samples, and in-situ resource utilization plant development for sustainable lunar outposts. These projects directly support NASA's mission to maintain U.S. leadership in air and space exploration.

NASA Force offers a collaborative environment where ideas are valued and innovation drives everyday work. Engineers will take a systems approach to problem-solving across teams and disciplines, from concept to execution.
