Manufact, a YC‑backed startup positioning itself as the “Vercel for MCP,” announced a hiring push for a Developer Advocate & Partnerships role. The company runs a cloud platform that powers Claude connectors, the Chat GPT App Store, and other AI agents. Its mcp‑use SDK—open‑source, 10k GitHub stars and over 7 million downloads—underpins the service and is already used by roughly 20 percent of the Fortune 500, including NASA and NVIDIA.

Manufact’s cloud usage is more than doubling each month, a rate that helped it close a $6.3 M seed round in just four days before YC Demo Day. Lead investor Peak XV, known for dev‑tools bets, leads the round alongside angels that include Supabase founders. The financing aims to capture a larger slice of global AI tool calls flowing through the platform.

The new Advocate will own end‑to‑end partnerships, build demos that link the mcp‑use SDK to other dev tools, and produce technical content ranging from videos to GitHub examples. Candidates must have solid engineering fundamentals, strong communication skills, and prior experience with the SDK or similar MCP infrastructure. Compensation ranges $100K‑$160K, plus equity and full medical coverage.
