This aims to eliminate the informal, 'AI slop' often found in AI-generated text, making it suitable for technical manuals where clarity is paramount.

The skill integrates with numerous AI agents and harnesses that support the Agent Skills standard, including Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, and Gemini CLI. It operates with minimal dependencies and is available under an MIT license. Benchmarks show a 72.9% reduction in STE violations per 100 words, along with shorter sentences and reduced output tokens across multiple LLMs.

SimpleEnglish adapts to various technical writing needs, including error messages, incident reports, and release notes. It adheres to the 53 numbered rules of STE, focusing on clear, unambiguous language. While it doesn't provide official certification, it produces output similar to professional aerospace manuals, prioritizing readability and precision over marketing flair.
