Claude Mythos 5 is now available in Claude Security, and coming soon to partners' cyber defense tools. The company is also launching a $35M fund to help secure open-source software and sharing plans to expand its Cyber Verification Program.

In April, Project Glasswing put frontier models in the hands of a small group of organizations securing the world's most critical software, giving defenders time to find and fix vulnerabilities ahead of similar capabilities becoming generally available. Safety classifiers and safeguards now allow broader access to Mythos-class models without putting offensive cyber capabilities in the wrong hands.

Claude Security scans can now run on Claude Mythos 5. Enterprise customers can scan their codebases for security vulnerabilities and suggest patches, with every patch reviewed and approved by a human before implementation. Users receive detailed findings rather than raw outputs, so defenders access Mythos-level capabilities without direct access to the model itself.

The new Defender Advantage Fund (0x DAF) provides $35 million in credits to organizations patching open-source vulnerabilities and automating scanning and patching. The Cyber Verification Program will expand reduced safeguards on Opus and Sonnet models, with Mythos-class access to follow. The aim remains helping organizations adapt as AI models become increasingly powerful.
