ArtCraft Apps presents a suite of seven open-source, Adobe-compatible creative tools built entirely in Rust. The lineup includes Photo Craft for image editing, Vector Craft for illustration, Film Craft for video editing, Light Craft for photo management and raw development, Print Craft for PDF manipulation, Effect Craft for motion graphics, and Design Craft for page layout. All applications are native desktop apps for macOS, Windows, and Linux, compiled directly from Rust without Electron or web wrappers.
A key differentiator is the commitment to open source, with every line of code hosted on GitHub under permissive licenses. The apps also feature Web Assembly builds, allowing them to run within a browser tab. The project emphasizes user control, running entirely locally on the user's machine without cloud dependencies.
Development roadmaps and early builds are coordinated through the ArtCraft Discord community. The team positions the suite as a professional alternative for creators seeking native performance and source transparency. Users can follow development and test early builds via the community channel.
