Anthropic is offering its latest model, Claude Fable 5, free for a week‑long promotion. Starting July 1, 2026 and ending July 7, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT, subscribers can consume up to half of their weekly usage quota on Fable 5 without extra charge. No activation steps are required; the model appears in the picker across web, desktop, mobile, and Cowork interfaces.

During the promo, Fable 5 draws from the plan’s regular weekly limit but depletes it faster than earlier Claude variants. Users may exceed the 50 % cap by switching to another model, or continue on Fable 5 using usage credits, which bill separately once the allotted quota is exhausted, or pause activity until the next cycle. Enterprise seat‑based plans see limited eligibility based on seat type.

Admins cannot disable promotional access in web, desktop, or mobile clients, though they may set a different default model. In Claude Code, administrators control model availability via managed settings, which can hide Fable 5 for restricted seats. After July 7, 2026, the model leaves the free quota; continued use requires purchasing usage credits or reverting to other Claude models.
