A new 3D model of an Enigma machine is being developed using Astra, combining reference images and hundreds of detailed prompts to accurately recreate the inner mechanics. The project creator was inspired by Veritasium's video on the Enigma machine and Jared Owen's full animation, yet remained confused about the inner workings. To address this, they built custom inspection tools to ensure every component is historically accurate in size and position.

The Enigma machine was used by German military forces during World War II for encrypted communications, with Polish, British, and French cryptanalysts eventually breaking its code through identified weaknesses. The model currently features an interactive interface allowing users to type messages and see encryption/decryption results, though it remains a work in progress seeking community feedback on the user experience.
