American League Injury Woes
The American League Central and East divisions both suffered hamstring setbacks Tuesday as the Cleveland Guardians placed Arias on the 10-day IL with a strained left hamstring, prompting the call-up of Juan Brito for his major league debut. Concurrently, the Chicago White Sox followed suit by listing outfielder Austin Hays on the 10-day injured list due to a right hamstring strain, indicating a widespread issue with soft-tissue injuries across the league early in the week.
