MLB Roster Moves & Pitching Decisions
Major League Baseball clubs finalized several key roster decisions Friday, with multiple high-profile prospects receiving demotions to the minor leagues amid performance struggles. The New York Yankees optioned outfielder Jasson Dominguez to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, while the Washington Nationals sent top prospect Dylan Crews to the same level due to persistent hitting woes at the plate. In contrast, the Philadelphia Phillies confirmed a major rotation spot, as rookie right-hander Andrew Painter secured the No. 5 starter role for the Opening Day roster, manager Rob Thomson announced. The Miami Marlins also solidified their backend, opting to send lefty Braxton Garrett down to Triple-A Jacksonville while keeping Janson Junk as their final rotation piece.
