Western Conference Final
The Avalanche squandered a 1-0 lead in Friday's Game, falling 3-1 to the Golden Knights as coach Bednar admitted his squad missed chances to extend the margin. That loss came just hours after a Canadiens dominant Game 1 performance in the East, where Montreal controlled play from start to finish. Updated playoff stats now show Montreal just seven wins shy of the Stanley Cup, powered by contributions up and down the lineup that have made them one of the most balanced teams remaining in the tournament.
