Front Office Moves & Roster Construction

As front offices begin planning for future rosters, fantasy analysts are advising that prospects like Jackson Chourio and Roman Anthony should be drafted higher than consensus suggests for 2026 leagues, signaling potential breakout years ahead. Separately, baseball operations are seeing high-profile returns, as Moneyball pioneer Paul DePodesta announced his return to the game, taking on the challenge of revitalizing the Colorado Rockies, specifically targeting improvements around the high-altitude environment of Coors Field.

International Competition Setbacks

The United States national team is assessing its performance following its latest World Baseball Classic exit, where a highly touted offense lagged expectations, ultimately falling short as Venezuela secured the championship. This result marks another disappointing finish for the U.S. squad, despite featuring one of the most talented player pools assembled for the tournament.
