York Valkyrie are through to the 2026 Women's Super League Grand Final against Wigan Warriors following a superb 12-0 semi-final away victory over Leeds Rhinos at Headingley.

York will face defending champions Wigan at the Brick Community Stadium on Sunday September 27 (5.30pm kick-off), live on Sky Sports. York had lost 38-16 to Leeds on August 8 and 44-0 to Wigan a week later, but have turned fortunes around since.

The opening 21 minutes proved scoreless before York's Liv Wood grounded the ball for a try in the 22nd minute, with Tara Jane Stanley converting. Stanley then struck a penalty from distance for an 8-0 lead three minutes before half-time.

Eight minutes into the second half, Stanley forced her way over but the Video Ref ruled it out. Leeds had tries from Georgia Elliston and Ebony Stead ruled out, while York wrapped up victory through Adaoha Akwiwu's try off a Stanley short-ball pass for 12-0.

York ended on a sour note as Stanley failed a Head Injury Assessment, ruling her out of the Grand Final.
